Life after Engineering! You must have asked yourself this question many times after your engineering studies. Thousands of students graduate from each university in every year. Among the million B.Tech/BE students only small percentage of students were placed. Still there are many opportunities for a B.Tech/BE holders. But the opportunities rarely knock on your door, if you wish to enter knock rather on opportunities door.

The factors include confusion, misdirection, competition, back paper, and conduct leads to deviate from profession. Most all peoples are confused about life after engineering. Those who completed degree successfully also may confuse about job. For the fresher’s there are many openings as trainees with an average salary. Holding a B.Tech degree is not an important, but getting job is much more. The society will not look up your educational status, but they are more anxious about job and the pay you get. Here there are three career options which you can choose after degree.

  • Become an Entrepreneur

There are many institutions providing master degree for graduates. Engineers can upgrade their skills and technology through higher studies. The students who wish to pursue their master can attend Graduate Aptitude Test For Engineers (GATE) in India. Those who completed master degree from a reputed institution can either join in an organization or can earn PhD degree.
Employment is the other option. Both government and private organizations are offering large number of opportunities. Once if you are entering as trainee, through training you can upgrade or gain new technical knowledge. More than private organizations Government sector provides more job security. An engineer can be a part of civil services and defence too. Banks are also providing offers for engineers including technical jobs.
Becoming an entrepreneur is another career option for engineer. An entrepreneur is the one who organize and operates business. For better Guidance you can join for short or long term courses from reputed institutions. Remember, there is a life after engineering.
